Why Massage Therapy?

Is your dog walking kind of stiff? Is your horse not performing as well as you are used to? Is he somewhat off but you cannot really put a finger on why his movement seems restricted? Is your four-legged friend coming back from an injury or is he dealing with a long-term health condition, such as osteoarthritis? Have you been through a long, intense show season with a lot of hard training sessions? Do you want to make sure your animal is taken care of in every aspect?

Rehabilitation as well as Prevention
There is a wide variety of situations where animal massage therapy can benefit your dog's/ horse's health.  Releasing tension in cramped muscles or loosening up the surrounding fascia (connective tissue) can eliminate pain and increases the body's mobility and flexibility. It recovers the natural range of motion and decreases the risk of future injuries.
So, while it is a big part in the rehabilitation process it also acts as preventative care that can save you money in the long run!

More than just a touch
Massage therapy requires understanding of the anatomy of the body. Understanding muscle functions and noticing when the system is being compromised due to a restriction in the soft tissue. A body can only function properly if it is in a relaxed and balanced state. I help your four-legged partner to get there through massage and other modalities such as Red Light and Trigger Point Therapy.

Why? Because they deserve to feel their best! If they are healthy, they are happy and they will make you happy, too.
It does not matter whether you are competing on a high level, you just like to enjoy the time with your equine/canine friend moseying around or if you are taking care of a senior or a youngster. Massage is for all. Every case is individual. And I would like to learn about yours!
